Proud To Be An American

This guy is truly an American hero. What a great ending to a scary story. Cool. Americans, and their resilience, never cease to amaze me.

I have also noticed how hard regular Americans are working to turn this economy around. Doing taxes gave me the opportunity to meet so many resilient people. Many lost jobs, many had suffered through foreclosure, or divorce. Amazingly, even when they owed the government THOUSANDS of dollars in taxes because of reducing their withholding to pay the mortgage, they were kind. Resilient, brave, kind, hard working. They are doing different kinds of work to make ends meet. They are giving up material things in order to start over and start fresh. That is how most Americans are. Cool.

Yes, I am still here. To any readers I have left, I apologize. Tax season is in full swing and I have been very busy.

Can you believe this pirate thing? I really feel for the AMERICAN HOSTAGE that is being held. Funny how our government has been almost silent on this subject.

Jim Chanos has been right on for the last three years. His insights about the consequences of getting rid of mark-to-market are correct. By the way, this recent rally is not about Geitner's plan, as the press would have you believe. It is about the hope that mark-to-market will be suspended on April 4th. I do not believe it will.

I Know.....

I know I haven't been posting enough lately. I will not be able to spend the time to give you quality posts until the end of tax season - some time after April 15th.

But please, if I am lucky enough to have your readership; hang in there with me. I hope after that date I will be back with a vengeance.

I have much to say about my wonderful children and the parenting journey I have been taking with them.

I know I have neglected that part of this blog...but it is coming, and I hope it will be good.

Enjoy this Spring - it is so beautiful! Enjoy those you love, spend as much time with them as possible.
