The Blue Collar Heros Know What's Right

Of course the constitution supports the rights of the owners of the land who want to build a mosque near ground zero.

However, there is a difference between allowing the mosque's construction and supporting it.

As a matter of fact, Americans have every right to condemn it, and they should.

Thank God for hard working New York construction workers.

These guys should run for President. They would of handle this issue better than our current one did.

We are back at very critical technical levels. Mr. Guppy is one of my favorite technical analysts, and of course, I agree with his opinion.

Out Of Body Experience

Ever since my 20- yr high school reunion, I have been having a hard time. Weird, isn't it? I mean, I had a great time.
It is just that I feel like by brain has reverted to that of my 18 year old self.

Honestly, I have these moments when I read my own blog and I think, "Who wrote that?" That woman has insight. She is wicked smart. And then I think. "Holy shit, it's me."

I forget that I am smart.

The only solace I can find is the "New Age" spiritual teaching I am drawn to.

I feel my personality and body are just a shell. The real me is in here...but sometimes the experience of being in this body, in this life, is just so powerful...I get lost.

Ok , the video is really weird (and meaningless)...but the reason I like the song is that it speaks to the fallen nature and potential redemtion of us all.

Whatever I am going through I am sure there is a reason for it.

Why China Won't Save The Global Economy

There are those who believe Chinese growth will save the world from a double dip recession. It won't.

The Chinese economy is a centrally planned economy bred by government control. It IS NOT free by any means. The government "promotes" growth by giving breaks and subsidies to companies, and then confiscating any amount of profit they want.

Chinese leaders still believe in totalitarian ideals. Their shift to what they call capitalism, which is a bastardization of the word, reminds me more of pre-World War II fascist Italy.

Centrally planned economies always falter. Whether the "plan" is communism or some hybrid capitalistic-fasco- monster, which the Chinese economy is.

Economies need a base of moral capitalism bred and legally supported by enlightened ideas like those of our constitution to flourish.

China will not save us. China is going to crash, probably before we do.

Great Conversation

I will comment on this later - but for now, just watch. Aayan Hirsi Ali and Irshad Manji are probably the best hope Islam has. Both of these women are extremely brave. Though they have different religious beliefs, I believe both of their approaches should be used to help bring about peace.
