I have never agreed with much Dick Bove has to say and think he rather arrogant. But I must say, I agree with him that we are going to have a market crash.
This is not necessarily a bad thing. The unhealthy bubble economy and a stock market driven by money flows and speculation, instead of profits, must come to an end.
Growth for the sake of growth is like cancer to a healthy economy.
I am all for Obama and Volcker's plan. Capitalists....we can't have it both ways. The creation of FDIC and the concept of TOO BIG TO FAIL have created giant moral hazard problems.
You cannot take government money (taxpayer $) and gamble with it, (you got lucky and won this time) reap huge profits, and then expect the taxpayers to be happy about it while they are losing their home because of YOUR rampant speculation, manipulation, and greed.
We need a moral Capitalism. The market is the arbiter of this, and when the government steps in and saves the bad guys from themselves the moral hazard and incentive problems in the system multiply.
I am sorry, but if we have FDIC and TOO BIG TO FAIL, we must bring back Glass Steagall as a counter balance.

Luck,Destiny, Free Will & Haiti
How lucky I am. How blessed. I have been watching the hopeforhaitinow.org benefit.
I did donate. I also am struck by just how damn lucky we Americans are. We are a free, prosperous, fortunate people. Every single one of us. Even the poor in America live better than most of the globe.
Another voice in my head tells me that while luck is a very big part of my fortune in this life, hard work by my parents was another.
You know, I am brought back to the dualistic nature of the Universe and our place in it time and time again.
On one hand, we are birthed into a particular life situation. Some of us win the lottery of birth and are born in the U.S. Others parents work their butts off to make sure their children are born in the U.S. Is it destiny? Is it luck? Is it evolution? Is it determination? Or is it all of them combined?
Many humans are birthed into a favorable life situation and screw it up. Some are born to fortune and succumb to tragedy. Certainly, natural disasters care not about your country of birth, your race, your religious beliefs or anything of the sort. When Nature strikes, it is abrupt, random, and often brutal.
So on one level, we humans control our reality. What we send out comes back to us. Giving and receiving are one, in truth. But, on the physical level, we are all VERY vulnerable and ultimately face death around every corner. We are fragile. Life is fragile, and the spector of Death constantly reminds us of that.
What is left? What really matters? Love. The energy of Love. That is all that matters. In the present moment touch as many people with the energy of Love as you can. THAT IS ALL YOU CAN DO. AND IT MATTERS.... ALOT.
To anyone who reads this...I wish for you that you will always live in the energy of love. I hope that energy will descend upon HAITI and bring its people some comfort.

Another Reason To Love This Country
Now, I don't know much about this guy, but I do know that when any politician becomes to extreme and tries to force their agenda on the american people, the American people speak. Wake up Democrats. The Independent voters of America just sent you a very loud message.

Richard Duncan
This man is a great economist. I really enjoyed his book "The Dollar Crisis". He is astute at spotting bubbles, which is what I like to do. Guess what his latest book is about? China. Of course, he says China is in a massive bubble which is very close to popping. I agree, and am still buying FXP. (As always, trade at your own risk.)

Why I Am Short China
I am buying FXP whenever I have an extra few bucks here and there. (Not Investment Advice!-Trade @your own risk!)
Captain Capitalism posted this video - it explains in detail why I am short China. I DO NOT trust communists.

China's bubble bonanza could make me rich.
I apologize for the ironic fact that this is from al-Jazeera.
